According to ESPN.com's recruiting page, the best boys basketball recruit and the best girls basketball recruit for the Class of 2012 both reside in the greater Syracuse area.

DaJuan Coleman, a 6'9", 270 pound center for Jamesville-DeWitt High School is considered the top prospect for the Class of 2012. On the girls' side, it's 6'4" Breanna Stewart of Cicero-North Syracuse who can play virtually every position on the floor, but will likely play forward in college.

Both are rumored to have garnered the interest of the top programs in their respective sport. ESPN has noted Syracuse University is among the schools pursuing Coleman.

It should be a fun couple years to watch high school hoops in Central New York.
