Syracuse Football Head Coach Doug Marrone announced that Quarterbacks Coach Nathaniel Hackett will assume offensive playcalling duties for the 2010 season. Marrone will still be the Offensive Coordinator, developing the weekly gameplans but Hackett will call the plays. It goes without saying, all calls go through Marrone before they hit the field. Marrone says this will give him an opportunity to focus on all facets of game management, instead of focusing more of his energies to the playcalling duty.

Hackett, 30, is entering his 1st season with Syracuse. His father, Paul Hackett is the quarterbacks coach with the Oakland Raiders and worked with Doug Marrone with the New York Jets.
