It was another busy night on the high school hardwood Tuesday night, and the end result was a new team in first place in a competitive division.
CBA avenged a December loss to ES-M by defeating the Spartans 64-54. Dylan Haines led the way for CBA with 23 points and 10 rebounds as the Brothers improved to 7-3 in Freedom National league play (Class A). ES-M is still in second place in the division with a 6-4 overall. CBA is 10-6 overall.
There were some ultra competitive contests in Class AA as well. Corcoran erased a 10 point deficit in the final minutes of its contest with Liverpool, but fell just short, in a 64-63 defeat.

In girls basketball, it was Senior Night at C-NS High School, as Breanna Stewart and the Northstars' senior four took on Baldwinsville. Stewart, Team USA's female player of 2011, finished with 24 points , while senior brittany Paul led all scores with 29 points in a 79-37 win over the Bees. The Northstars improve to 13-2 on the season.
It was also senior night at Liverpool high school, where the Warrior girls took care of Corcoran 37-30. Rachael Windhausen led the Warriors with 11 points, while Lyteshia Price added 10. LaBreya Steward also scored 10 for the Cougars in a losing cause.
