Westhill baseball is back on top.
After a one year hiatus, the Warriors once again find themselves in the state playoffs after racing past Cazenovia in the Section III championship 8-1.
Alex Godzak, as per the norm, was sensational on the hill, and only allowed one hit that resulted in one run. The Warriors run support of course was the difference as J.C. Pena drove in a run and stole home plate. The momentum clearly swung Westhill's way after Jacob Nigolian drilled a triple to center field that scored a run.
Westhill is now Section III Champion for the 9th time in the last 11 seasons, and moves on to the state playoffs Tuesday, battling Oneonta at DeLutis Field in Rome.
