It's a weekend baseball and softball fans in Syracuse won't soon forget.
The All-American Girls Professional Baseball League will hold its reunion in Syracuse this weekend.
The AAGPBL is the league that "A League of Their Own" is based on, which was in play from 1943-1954.
It's the second time the league has held its reunion in the Salt City, and no doubt fans are excited.
Back in 2003, the last time the reunion came to town, there were 125 living players from the league, now, there's only 48.
However some of those 48 are actually taking the field Saturday at Alliance Bank Stadium. The former players team up with some former college players and they'll take on a local softball team called "Wings over Syracuse"
"It's a piece of history to come out and see them play, and see how they are now but also you're gonna see some hints of how they used to be" says Shelley McCann who is the chair of the 2012 reunion.
The festivies get going at 10:00 a.m. at the stadium, with former players signing autographs until 11:30 a.m. After which, the game will get underway.
Tickets are $5 at the gate on Saturday
