When sports fans in Central New York think of Jamesville-Dewitt High School they're apt to think about the school's state-title winning basketball or lacrosse winning teams.
Tonight though, it was all about Red Ram football.
J-D improved to an incredible 5-0 on the season, taking care of business 25-6 over Nottingham in a game that decided first place, for now, in the Class A American division.
Rasheed Baker rushed for 170 yards and two touchdowns, Taumeras Howard intercepted two passes and scored a touchdown on the ground as the Red Rams stymied the vaunted Bulldogs' offense.
Don't let the 25-6 final fool you, this game was close until the finish. J-D led this one 12-6 with 7 minutes left in the contest, but the Red Rams converted turnovers into points on consecutive posessions in a three minute span in the final quarter to put Nottingham away for good.
So with two weeks to go in the regular season, J-D is in the drivers seat for a potential league championship in the Class A American division.
