Jim Boeheim and the Syracuse Orange may not start the new season until November 9th, but already there's excitement surrounding the team.

That's because CNY Central learned on Monday night that Chinonso Obokoh, a 6'10" center from Rochester's Bishop Kearney high school committed to play for hte Orange.

Obokoh becomes the 2nd player to commit for the Class of 2013, following guard Tyler Ennis.

Obokoh was very highly sought after by the big name programs in college basketball, as he chose the Orange over Texas and Temple but he also had offers from Villanova, Oregon, Miami and West Virginia.

While many high schoolers that are 6'10" often have to grow into their bodies, Obokoh is already well on his way to being ready for what will be an ACC schedule for Syracuse, as he checks in at over 220 lbs.

He told our friends at CuseConfidential.com that it's always been his "dream" to play for Syracuse
