SYRACUSE -- Syracuse police arrested a teen girl in connection with a bank robbery that took place on Wednesday January 2, 2013 at 9:02am at the Alliance bank located at 1001 James Street.

Police say 17-year-old Cheyenne Brandon of Teall Avenue entered the bank and threatened the use of a weapon, but no weapon was observed.

Police say she stole an undisclosed amount of cash and left the bank, running down Oak Street to Lincoln Park Drive.

Brandon was located by Police Officer John Szakalski as she ran into Lincoln Park. Brandon was still in possession of the cash she had stolen from the bank when she was stopped.

Brandon is charged with robbery in the first degree and is due in court Thursday.
