Syracuse police arrest pedestrian with loaded handgun

SYRACUSE -- A pedestrian walking down South Geddes Street in Syracuse at 12:40am on Saturday, February 2nd had a loaded handgun, according to police.

Officers stopped 20-year-old Kevin Binet while he was walking in the street and not on the sidewalk. Officers found a loaded 22 caliber handgun on Binet.

He was arrested without incident. Police say the handgun had a defaced serial number.

Binet was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and failing to use the sidewalk.
