LIVERPOOL -- Onondaga County Sheriff Kevin Walsh says that an arrest has been made in a series of fires that damaged local businesses in December.

Walsh says that 19-year-old Daniel Zaborskiy of Russell Avenue in Liverpool is accused of breaking into several business suites inside the office building on Greenfield Parkway, where he reportedly stole a flat screen television and several computers before starting fires all throughout the building.

Fire crews responded to a fire on December 2 in the morning that was burning outside behind the office building.

Fire fighters found that the internal alarm and sprinkler system had been set off, so they investigated the offices, where they found several other small fires still burning.

Deputies say the fire and water damage is estimated to be in excess of one million dollars.

Zaborskiy was charged with two counts of arson, three counts of burglary, four counts of criminal mischief and two counts of grand larceny.

He is being held on $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
