Today's event helped pay bills for Easton's family

AUBURN -- The Auburn community is showing an outpouring of support for baby Easton Friedel. They came together for a fundraiser to help pay for some of his medical bills. It's something the family really appreciates in a time of such need.
Easton is suffering from a devastating genetic skin condition. This is exactly what drove the Ancient Order of Hibernians to host today's fundraiser as a way of giving back. Those in the community touched by Easton's story came out to show their support not just with a donation, but with their thoughts and prayers.
Dozens of people were able to buy a raffle ticket and use it for either a basket, or the 50/50. Hot dogs and soda were on the menu for a dollar too. Over $3,000 was raised today, with all of it going to Easton's family.
"It's heart warming, but then you think about what he's going through. I mean it's nice to have the support, but the reason for it," says Deborah Casler, Easton's grandmother.
Denise Sobus is the New York State President of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. "We thought this would be a good idea to do something for him and for our community," says Sobus.
Pat Galbally attended the event as a way to show her support here in Auburn. "Gotta pray for him, gotta pray real hard for him. It's so sad. It's just sad. I feel so bad for him. I would take his place in a heart beat."
One man did not want to enter into the raffle or even buy a hot dog, he only wanted to donate his money.
