Jessob Reisbeck spoke with CNYCentral live on Friday evening
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA -- Jessob Reisbeck’s interview with ‘Kai the Hatchet guy’ has gone viral. Reisbeck is a former CNY Central sports reporter.
If you haven't seen it already, Reisbeck interviewed a homeless man who says he rescued a real-life damsel in distress.
A California hitch-hiker, known as ‘Kai’, was picked up by a man who claimed he was Jesus Christ, according to WMPH. The man told Kai he was Jesus Christ and could do anything he wants, including killing a person for being black. Then the driver immediately crashes his car into a PG&E worker because he was black. The driver got out of the car and began beating a woman who was trying to help the man.
That’s when Kai jumped out of the car, ran over to the driver and began hitting him over the head with a hatchet.
Kai’s description of attacking the driver, along with his overall demeanor, has caused the video to go viral. "I ran up behind him with a hatchet and went, smash, smash, smash!" described Kai.
Reisbeck’s interview with Kai took the internet by storm and landed Reisbeck and Kai as guests on the Jimmy Kimmel show earlier this week. Watch the Jimmy Kimmel segment here.
Reisbeck told Kimmel he was covering a news beat that day because the station was short handed.
