SYRACUSE -- It's an exciting moment for fans of Syracuse football.

The full schedule for the Orange's inaugural campaign in the Atlantic Coast Conference has been relased.

After just five home games in 2012, the Orange has seven home games (one at Met Life Stadium) in 2013.

Here's a look at the schedule. What do you think? What game are you most excited for?

"Home" games are in bold and caps. We had some callers at CNYCentral wondering if the Wagner game would count towards bowl eligibility. I called SU today who did confirm that will, meaning six wins would land Syracuse in a bowl game.

Here is the SU Athletics press release on the new schedule:

Syracuse University’s inaugural season in the Atlantic Coast Conference will include home games against Clemson, Wake Forest, Pittsburgh and Boston College, and visits to North Carolina State, Georgia Tech, Maryland and Florida State. All Syracuse fans are invited to join ‘Orangenation Rising,’ a state of mind where passion, tradition and die-hard loyalty intersect, by renewing their season tickets before April 3 or reserving new 2013 season tickets with a $25 deposit. Fans can use the internet (www.SUathletics.com), telephone (888-DOME-TIX), or visit the Carrier Dome Box Office in-person. Season tickets start at just $99 each.

“We look forward to opening our ACC schedule with Clemson in the Carrier Dome,” said head coach Scott Shafer. “Our fans will enjoy the months of October and November with games against some of the best programs in the ACC, including closing out the schedule with traditional rivals in Pittsburgh and Boston College in the Dome.”

The Orange kicks off the 2013 season against Penn State in New York’s College Classic on August 31 at MetLife Stadium. Syracuse’s non-conference schedule also includes games at Northwestern (Sept. 7) and will host Wagner (Sept. 14) and Tulane (Sept. 21). The remainder of the home schedule features Clemson (Oct. 5), Wake Forest (Nov. 2), Pittsburgh (Nov. 23) and Boston College (Nov. 30). Syracuse will travel to play at Northwestern (Sept. 7), North Carolina State (Oct. 12), Georgia Tech (Oct. 19), Maryland (Nov. 9) and Florida State (Nov 16).

When the Orange meets Penn State at MetLife Stadium, it will continue the rivalry with the team it has played more than any other in the 122 years of the program. The contest against Penn State is the first in a three-game series that features the 2013 New York’s College Classic at MetLife Stadium, a game in the Carrier Dome and a game at Penn State. MetLife Stadium is the football team’s ‘home away from home,’ similar to Madison Square Garden for the Orange basketball team, with multiple games scheduled there in the next two decades. Tickets for New York’s College Classic are available online (www.NYCollegeClassic.com), by phone (888-DOMETIX) and at the Carrier Dome Box Office.

Syracuse’s schedule features six teams that earned Bowl invitations, including Northwestern, Clemson North Carolina State, Georgia Tech, Florida State and Boston College, and Wagner, which advanced to the second round of the NCAA FCS Playoffs. In addition, Penn State finished the season with an 8-4 record but was banned from Bowl participation by the NCAA.

The 2013 Orange begins Spring practice on March 19 and will host the annual Spring game on April 20 in the Carrier Dome.
