KIRKVILLE -- An East Syracuse man was arrested for driving while intoxicated with blood alcohol content over twice the legal limit on Friday night.

Hunter V. Berthelot, 38, was driving eastbound on Fyler Road in the Town of Sullivan at around 10:35 p.m. Friday evening when he was stopped by police.

Police say they observed the Ranger weaving from the driving lane onto the shoulder and back several times.

Police say an interview of Berthelot at the scene and field sobriety tests determined that he was intoxicated.

Berthelot was arrested and transported to the State Police Oneida barracks for processing. He was issued traffic tickets for DWI and aggravated DWI with a BAC of .18% or greater and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Sullivan Court on March 5.
