Winter weather advisory in effect for Central New York through Tuesday

A winter weather advisory is in effect from 2 p.m  Monday through 8 a.m. Tuesday in Onondaga County with between 3 to 6 inches of snow. 

In Oswego, Jefferson and Lewis counties, the advisory is from 5 p.m. Monday through 2 p.m. Tuesday.

In Wayne and Cayuga County, the advisory is from 3 p.m. Monday through 11 a.m. Tuesday, with 2 to 4 inches of snow expected.

In Onedia and Madison counties, the advisory is from 5 p.m. Monday through 11 a.m. Tuesday with 4 to 7 inches of snow.

The SNOW is expected to develop be heavy at times, changing to a wintery mix of sleet and freezing rain overnight and into Tuesday.
