SYRACUSE -- The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) need your help in raising $60,000 for four new vans.

The DAV has been transporting veterans to the Syracuse VA Medical Center for care for 20 years.  They currently have 29 vans that service 25,000 veterans across 13 counties.  Increased demand, due to returning vets from Iraq and Afghanistan, has led the DAV to try to add the four new vans.

To make a donation, send a check or money order payable to Syracuse DAV Transportation and mail it to DAV Hospital Service Coordinator, c/o: Syracuse VA Center, 800 Irvine Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210.

If you have any questions, contact Andrew Newcomb at (315) 425-4353 or email andrew.newcomb@va.gov.
