SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA -- The Syracuse Orange never gave the Montana Grizzlies a chance on Thursday night, winning 81-34. The Orange now play 12-seed California in the next round on Saturday.

Syracuse opened up a quick 8-2 lead from the start, with junior forward CJ Fair scoring six of the first eight points. The Grizzlies could not get out of their own way in the first half, as the Orange cruised to a 38-15 lead at halftime.

The second half started out a similar way with a quick CJ Fair layup, two of his 13 points on the day. Senior guard Brandon Triche took over the reigns as the half continued, finishing with 20 points.

The Orange will play California, who as a 12-seed beat 5-seed UNLV,  in the Round of 32 on Saturday at around 9:45 p.m. in San Jose, California.
