The dream continues for Lopez Lomong.

Lomong, 30, finished 3rd in the 5000 meter run on Thursday night which was good enough to qualify him for a second consecutive trip to the Olympics.

Galen Rupp won the race, 37-year-old Bernard Lagat took second ahead of Lomong.

Lomong was the flag-bearer for the United States Olympians at the 2008 opening ceremonies in Beijing, and now represents the U.S. in London in 2012.

One of the "Lost Boys of Sudan", Lomong found refuge in Central New York, namely in Tully where he starred on the cross-country team at Tully High School.

He captured the imaginations of all Central New Yorkers who will be keeping a close eye on him when the 2012 games start at the end of July.
