It's almost expected now, when there's a game, a player, or a moment in SU history that captures the fans imagination, then Holy Shirt! will capture that moment forever. That statement holds true as Syracuse trounced #12 California and #4 North Carolina for the 2k Sports Coaches vs. Cancer Championship, thanks in part to tournament MVP Wesley Johnson. Wes came from seemingly nowhere, he was very unheralded out of high school, in fact he was at prep school two years after high school, before finally landing at Iowa State. After two good seasons, he transferred to Syracuse where most were skeptical of the praise Jim Boeheim bestowed on him before lacing up for the Orange. Let's just say Boeheim was proved right and it was apparent from the get-go that Wesley Johnson was "underrated". Hence, a new shirt has arrived with the word "underrated" on the front, kind of a play off the Overrated?!! design that Holy Shirt! created for Gerry McNamara, with Wes' #4 on the back.
Owner John Groat and his brother Chris, lifelong Syracuse residents and proud fans of the Orange which they say helps them in brainstorming ideas for shirts. From those Overrated?!! shirts to the Orange Out for Revenge tees to The Marathon Men design and "The Devil Wears Orange" shirts, they've certainly invented creative shirts that fans have loved. They attribute these ideas that fans have loved to the fact that, they themselves are big time fans of all things Orange.
