ANN ARBOR, MI -- Former Henninger High School basketball star Ben Cronin has decided to end his basketball career.

The Michigan redshirt freshman center ran into complications during his rehabilitation from hip surgery last season, and his head coach John Beilein announced Tuesday that he'll miss the remainder of the season, and more than likely the rest of his career.

Cronin says it is very difficult to quit the sports he loves, but that his focus is on his quality of life after basketball.
