FORT LAUDERDALE, FL -- The Onondaga Community College women’s basketball team was already ranked #2 in the country when they headed to Fort Lauderdale for the holidays. But as they’re returning home, they will be much more confident in just how talented a team they really are.
The Lazers won the Broward Holiday Tournament by beating three straight Division-I teams over three consecutive days, including the host team, Miami Dade, and the University of Western Ontario.
OCC beat Western for the championship on Wednesday, an 83-79 overtime thriller. Jenna Rossi led the way with 23 points, while former Bishop Ludden star Molly Byrne contributed 20 points.
