SKANEATELES -- Tim Green will be the new varsity football coach for Skaneateles High School. Green was a standout at Liverpool High School, went on to Syracuse University where he was an All American, and then played professional football with the Atlanta Falcons. Green is also an attorney, author, television football analyst, and even had a brief stint as a weekend anchor on CBS5.
Green was appointed by the Skaneateles School board by a 4-3 vote Tuesday night. He edged out Ron Doctor, retired physical education teacher who currently coaches Skaneateles' lacrosse team. Doctor previously coached football at the high school where he coached the team to the school's only sectional title.
Green will earn $3,707 for the season.
