SYRACUSE -- Three National Football League players from Central New York who say no one ever came back to help them when they were coming up plan to start a CNY Football Academy for the Syracuse area.

The non-contact camp for this year is already scheduled for June 26th at Sunnycrest Park in Syracuse. It will be free for 9 to 12-year-olds.

Mike Hart, a running back from Onondaga Central Schools who's now with the Indianapolis Colts, and linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar, a Corcoran alum who's with the New Orleans Saints, say they've been planning what will be an annual event along with Cicero-North Syracuse's Tyvone Branch, who's with the Oakland Raiders and could not come from California for the announcement.

They're also hoping for community and business support for the effort. You can get more information on the camp by emailing football@twcny.rr.com.
