The High School Section III Playoffs in all sports rolled on this Saturday after many games were postponed because of the snow on Friday.

The day was especially busy in basketball, where in Class AA for the boys C-NS edged CBA and Utica-Proctor held off Henninger setting up a C-NS and Proctor matchup for all the marbles.

In Class A, J-D beat Utica-Notre Dame by 17 and the Nottingham Bulldogs beat Bishop Ludden by 12, setting up the matchup everyone was waiting to see in Class A, Nottingham vs. J-D.

The Syracuse Academy of Science continued its banner year, beating previously undefeated DeRuyer 60-57.

Bishop Grimes needed two overtimes to outlast Skaneateles, 70-66 was the final there.

There was some good news for Skaneateles, the Lakers Volleyball team won regionals Saturday. In girls winter volleyball, regionals are the end of the line, so essentially, Skaneateles is the best team in the state.
