The Tully Black Knights became the final Section III team to earn a spot in state regional playoffs on Tuesday night with a 54-45 win over West Canada Valley.

Michael Courtwright led the Black Knights with 17 points and great energy. West Canada was undefeated on the season coming into the game, falling just short of their Section III championship goal.

The Girls State Regionals, meanwhile, kicked off on Tuesday Night at Cicero-North Syracuse High School. Maggie Brown led Cortland with 14 points, but it was Averill Park knocking off the Purple Tigers 59-54.

Lauren Nunziato led Averill Park with 19 points. Maggie Reagan and Courtney Tennant both scored 13 points for Cortland in a losing cause.
