When the tournament started it seemed like a long shot for Cornell to make the Sweet Sixteen and get to the Carrier Dome.

After all, we're talking about a program that had never won an NCAA tournament game in its history would suddenly have to pull of two significant upsets to get to Syracuse.

Two victories later, Cornell is in the Sweet Sixteen, and now has the luxury of playing about the closest thing to a home game as there is in the NCAA tournament. Cornell's campus in Ithaca, NY is less than 60 miles from Syracuse.

Coach Steve Donahue is thrilled to be in the Salt City,

"We're extremely excited, not only to be in the sweet sixteen, but to be in Syracuse, NY, is exactly where we want to be."

Cornell last played in the Dome November 24th, when they fell to the Orange 88-73.

It won't be any easier this time around against the # one-seed Kentucky Wildcats.

The Big Red and Wildcats tip-off Thursday night at approximately 10:00.
