CAMILLUS -- This week's Dunkin' Donuts CNY Central Athlete is a rare type of player, an offensive minded defenseman.
Michel scored 11 goals and had 26 assists on the season. He was a key cog in the West Genesee Wildcats' 25-0, state championship season.
In the Wildcats' 3-0 state championship win over Saratoga, Michel scored a goal and anchored a defense that shut out one of the best teams in the state.
On a team full of seniors, Michel is the captain and considered the unquestioned leader of West Genny.
The Wildcats' perfect season was their first in school history, and to top it all off, Michel was named the Division I player of the year.
