The Charlotte Observer is reporting the UNC-Charlotte has contacted longtime-SU basketball assistant Mike Hopkins about its vacant Head Coach position. Hopkins has been an assistant for Jim Boeheim since the 1995-1996 season, and while his stock has sky-rocketed over the years, he's always turned down overtures from other programs. With that said, Hopkins is also widely rumored to be the "coach-in-waiting" to Jim Boeheim.
