DEWITT -- Four Jamesville-DeWitt student-athletes signed scholarship letters-of-intent with Division I colleges on Wednesday.

Lacrosse star Jake Bratek will take his talents to Syracuse University, basketball player Lamar Kearse has signed on with New Jersey Tech, lacrosse player Ashriel West signed her letter of intent to play at Lake Erie College, and teammate Victoria Nies will play for Le Moyne.

For every one of the student athletes, the day was a dream come true, including for Bratek. “Ever since the first time I picked up a lacrosse stick, I wanted to play for Syracuse” he said.

A similar dream accomplished for Kearse, who said for him it was all about finding a D-I school to play for, and being the first in his family to make it to a D-I school is a dream come true.
