BREWERTON -- Jimmy Phelps will look to continue his hot string at Brewerton Speedway this Friday, June 4 on Canale Insurance Novelis Can Collection Night. Phelps has won three DIRTcar Big Block Modified features at the D-shaped Dirt Demon and is the current point leader in the headline division. The victory last Friday night by the popular Baldwinsville, N.Y. driver came out of the fourth turn of the final lap. Race time this Friday night is 7:30 p.m.Billy Decker, Pat Ward, Matt Sheppard, Alan Johnson, Larry Wight, Willy Decker, Pat O’Brien, Mike Bowman, Jim Witko, Ryan Phelps, Michael Storms, Chuck Cower, Rich Scagliotta, Jason Rood, Chad Phelps, Mike Mahaney and Chris Hile are some of the drivers that will look to keep Jimmy Phelps out of victory lane this Friday night in the annual Friday Night Rumble at the D-shaped Dirt Demon.
Kevan Cook leads the way in the up to date IMCA Modified point standings. Larry Wight is the current point leader in the NAPA Late Model division. Doug Williams is in command of the Beaver River Distribution ESDCA Mod Lite rankings. Veteran Chuck Powelczyk owns the point lead to date in the Four Cylinder Super Stock rankings.
The Midstate Vintage Stock Car Club will be the special attraction this Friday night with the cars of the past in actual race competition.
The fine folks from Canale Insurance will present the race program this Friday night. It will be Novelis Can Collection Night. Anyone who turns in 25 or more cans to be recycled will be entered into a special drawing. The fan that brings in the most cans will receive a ride around Brewerton Speedway in the Roger Phelps Used Cars Official Pace Car. Novelis representatives will collect the cans just outside the main gate.
Brewerton Speedway gates on Friday, June 4 will open at 5:30 p.m. Race competition will start at 7:30 p.m. Adult admission is only $12. Everyone ages 18 and under will be admitted for free.
