KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. - Syracuse junior Liz Hogan (Victor, N.Y.) has been named the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Goalkeeper of the Year. The award was announced at the IWLCA All-American Banquet in King of Prussia, Pa. on Saturday, June 12. Hogan is the first player in program history to win an IWLCA Player of the Year award.

This season Hogan led the nation in saves with a school-record 211 and ranked second in save percentage (.525). She was named to the IWLCA All-America First Team to become the first goalkeeper in school history to earn All-America honors. Hogan, the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year and unanimous selection to the All-BIG EAST First Team, reached double figures in saves in nine of Syracuse's final 15 games. In addition, she set a school record with 64 ground balls in 2010. Hogan enters her senior season as Syracuse's career leader in saves (518) and ground balls (152).

Hogan helped the Orange to a 15-7 record in 2010 and advance to the NCAA Tournament semifinals for the second time in the past three years. Syracuse's 15 wins are the second-highest single-season total in school history.
