WEEDSPORT -- The Cayuga County Fair Speedway recognized new graduates Sunday night, as Currier Plastics presented New Graduate night at the Speedway. All college and high school graduates were admitted free to the DIRTcar Modified, Sportsman, Stock Cars, Battlekarz and boat race.

Fans that arrived to the track early were given the chance to meet two of their favorite drivers as Stock Car driver Mike Rasbeck and Modified driver Robby Bellinger were on hand to sign autographs. This is a newer added bonus that has grown excitement over the past two weeks.

Jimmy Phelps continues his hot streak across the DIRTcar Northeast region winning the 35 lap DIRTcar big block Modified feature. Phelps took the lead on lap 30 from Rob Bellinger and would go to the checkered flag with Danny Johnson finishing second. Dale Planck was third followed by Matt Sheppard in fourth. Rob Bellinger, who led from the drop of the green flag until Phelps made his winning move, finished fifth.

Jim Spano picked up his second consecutive CCFS feature victory in the 25 lap DIRTcar Sportsman feature. Spano started 15th and moved his way through the pack and finished three seconds better than second place finisher Ricky Newton. Third was Jeremy Pitcher. Fourth was Robert Humphreys and fifth was Steve Gray.

Chris Fisher won his third DIRTcar Stock Car feature of the 2010 season at CCFS, but it wasn't easy as Mike Welch was inside of Fisher as the two drivers went down for the checkered flag in what was easily one of the more exciting races of the 2010 season. Welch had lead from the drop of the green until lap 13 when Fisher took over the lead. Finishing third was Mike Rasbeck followed by Frank Guererri and Don Searles.

Chris Bonoffski picked up the victory in the 15 lap BattleKarz feature. For Bonoffski, it was his second win of the season. Second was Nick Werner finished while Skip DeGroff was third. Rounding out the top five was Matt Dawson and Lanson Albanese.
