Could we see former Syracuse University stars Carmelo Anthony and Andy Rautins playing together for the New York Knicks in the near future?
Rautins, of course, was drafted by the Knicks a couple of weeks ago, but the Carmelo side of the scenario is coming in via a report from the New York Daily News. Amar'e Stoudemire, who has reportedly come to terms with the New York Knicks on a five-year deal, is reported as saying "I've talked to Carmelo Anthony that he needs to come out here. I've talked to Tony Parker. Both guys are ready to join me if I decide to come here. So we will see if we can work it out."
Anthony does not become a free agent until 2011, and the Denver Nuggets have reportedly said they will not trade him before that time.
