SYRACUSE -- Syracuse University Basketball head coach Jim Boeheim has told Seth Davis of Sports Illustrated that incoming freshman Fabricio de Melo has lost 30 pounds, and that he could be one to look at for national rookie of the year honors.
The 7-foot center from Brazil (by way of Florida) averaged 15 points, 11.3 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game in his senior year in high school.
