All of the golfers have arrived at Atunyote Golf Club for the Turning Stone Resort Championship which gets going on Thursday and that includes a 15-year old from Pittsford, just outside Rochester. Gavin Hall has been dominating the amateur circuit around the nation this summer, prompting many to consider him golf's next big thing. PGA Pro Roger Tambellini admitted on Tuesday that when he was 15 he could barely break 80 (for 18 holes), recently Gavin fired a course record 62 at the U.S. Junior Amateur.
Any golfer around the world dreams of playing a PGA event, let alone one of the least-played course on tour at age 15. It's an experience Hall cannot wait to partake in. "It's a strange feeling at first but you know I just don't want to get in their way (the pros) or do anything like that. I just want to play some good solid golf.....It's a cool feeling" said Gavin.
Hall will tee off at 1:50 p.m. on Thursday for his first round, stay tuned to us for how he fares.
