St. Matthew's CYO basketball held a series of games on Saturday night, some featuring the conventional type such as the Varsity team battling the JV squad, others featured the fire deptartment against alumni.
Basically, the teams are in need of new uniforms, and remember with CYO basketball each player must pay to play, so that each team can afford things like uniforms and having to pay for referee services.
Saturday's event was all about that, in hopes that in addition to the uniforms, perhaps more youngsters can play without worry of a higher fee to the team.
