SYRACUSE -- Delone Carter may be back at Syracuse University, a breath of fresh air for the SU offense. But another guy creating air might be Dorian Graham, quite literally creating air.
The sophomore is the fastest runner on the SU football team, according to Cuseconfidential.com runs "a sub 4.3 40", in other words he runs the 40 yard dash in less than 4.3 seconds. This is a speed that SU Head Coach Doug Marrone did not want to waste, switching Graham from free safety to wide receiver, hoping he'll leave the opponents defense in his dust.
"I think I'll do really well with the coaching of Rob Moore," says Graham, "he's a legend in himself, you know, ten years in the pros, and with my speed hopefully I can make things happen and score some touchdowns."
The 5-foot-10, 190 pound Graham can't wait to get back playing again after being forced to sit last season out following a shoulder injury suffered in the preseason. Graham says as long as he's helping his team win, he'll play wherever his coaches want him to.
"We're all trying to get W's here, and whatever I can do, whatever anybody can do to help get W's, I think they'll make that scarface and you know, do what we've got to do for the greater good of the team."
