SYRACUSE -- This year’s Syracuse Orange defensive line plans on keeping up “without” the Jones this season, as in Arthur Jones who is now playing for the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens.
Jones is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, loss for the SU football team heading into the 2010 season, but the line is in good hands with Jim Brunbaugh on the case. The new D-Line coach plans on fitting in swimmingly with Scott Shafer’s pressure defense, and plans on not giving the opposing quarterback any time to think.
“You know we have to do a better job of getting more push and using our hands inside, says head coach Doug Marrone, “you know, there were some things that Arthur did well that helped us that we're not getting right now, we have to work on getting more push in there and knocking the Offensive line back.”
