LaFayette football has seen steady improvement every year since its merger with Fabius-Pompey. That first season in 2007 the Lancers didn't win a single game, in 2008 they only could muster one victory but last year, Coach Karl Seemans 1st at the helm, saw the team make it to the Sectional Playoffs. A remarkable rise in the standings, but no doubt the Lancers are looking for more in 2010.
The current group of seniors was there at the beginning for that winless season, so they know what its like to be at the bottom of the standings and rest assured they never want to be there again. A big step towards that would be to build on last year's success, keep the future players coming out for the team, and start a whole new football tradition at LaFayette.
