The Syracuse Orange are travelling to South Florida this weekend to face a team who beat Florida Atlantic31-3 last week, had seven sacks, forced three turnovers, and scored a touchdown off a blocked punt. And while that is certainly something for the SU Offense to soak in, the Orange defense should have their hands full too. While the Bulls passing game hasn't been as effective as some might have pictured this year, quarterback B.J. Daniels is worth planning for. The running game can certainly hurt the Orange this week, along with any trickery Daniels and Head Coach Skip Holtz can come up with.
"He's a great quarterback," says senior strong safety Max Suter, "he can beat you with his arm, and also he can beat you with his legs. We just have to be responsible this week and work on containing him, keeping him inside the box, don't let him get outside."
"We'll definitely put our emphases on trying to contain him," added senior Linebacker Derrell Smith, "but I think we'll learn a lot from this game on where we stand and what we need to get better at.
