Christian Brothers Academy is off to a 5-0 start to the football season. The actual regular season ends this Friday with a showdown against Baldwinsville who is also 5-0. The difference is, B'ville was expected to be a fantastic team, and for good reason. The Bees certainly pass the "look test", which is something CBA didn't do for local "experts".
That didn't matter to the Brothers, as Coach Joe Casamento puts it, the team knows who they are and knows they can beat anyone if they play their game. What is their game? It's pretty obvious just from watching even a little bit of a CBA game, they play with heart and emotion, and that has kept them undefeated in 2010. The team is aware of what's at stake this Friday, and beyond that in playoffs, but rest assured the team also knows it wasn't expected to be here, and is enjoying the ride. They were "too young" or "too small", but as Coach Casamento puts it, the team is serving as a lesson to smaller players everywhere, that you don't have a giant to be successful in football.
Best of luck to both CBA and B'Ville, Check back for a review of the Bees season later in the week.
