DEWITT -- The Jamesville-DeWitt Red Rams had a banner season this year, taking the Section III championship for the second straight year. One of the main reasons for their success is junior Tessa Devereaux.
Tessa is a forward for the Red Rams with an adept scoring touch.
She led J-D with 29 goals this season, including two in the Section III championship game last week against Whitesboro.
You don't have to watch her long to see the real strength of her game is her seemingly endless assortment of dribbling moves.
Tessa says she works on her footskills everyday on the field and in her basement. She says her drive and work ethic are the key to her success and she gets a lot of her competitiveness from playing with her sister, Maddy, who is also on the team.
Tessa wants to continue her soccer career in college, but since she's only a junior, she will be terrorizing opposing Section III defenses for another year.
