The past month has been something of a dream come true for Onondaga Central Grad Latavius Murray. He was not only named MVP of the Conference USA Championship game, but on New Year's Eve he was named MVP of the Liberty Bowl. The Liberty Bowl was historic, because it was Central Florida's first ever bowl victory, and Murray's effort in the game could be history-making for him as well. Not just as something he'll remember forever, but as the moment when NFL scouts across the country took notice of the CNY Native.
Murray serves as a paragon of perseverence because remember just 18 short months ago he was contemplating his future, wondering if he should come home, or stay in Florida. Murray though, stuck it out and in the end is making all sorts of national headlines because he did stay and didn't let the situation take him down. He serves as a lesson to so many student athletes around the country, that with hard work and dedication anything is possible.
