It was that time of the year again, time for March Madness....March MEATBALL Madness that is.
12 of the most popular Syracuse area restaurant brought their meatballs to Drumlins on Sunday to be voted on by judges, including myself. The event benefits the Elmcrest Children's Center.
On the line, a shiny trophy, but more importantly, bragging rights of having the best meatballs in town for a whole year.
Aunt Josie's was the odds-on favorite to win after back-to-back championships, but they were dethroned this year.
While Aunt Josie's finished third, it was Santangelo's of Liverpool earning the trophy. A close 2nd was Joey's.
