SYRACUSE -- Onondaga Community College women’s basketball player Shalisia Jackson, of Syracuse, has been named to the National Junior College Athletic Association’s All-American Second Team for the 2010-2011 season.
Averaging 15 points and 10 rebounds per game, Jackson led Onondaga to its second consecutive Mid-State Athletic Conference title, a bid in the Region III tournament and a top-five national ranking at the regular season’s end.
Jackson, a freshman, was also named to the Mid-State Athletic Conference First Team and the Region III First Team. She received the 2011 Conference Championship MVP Award, finished the season ranked second nationally in field goal percentage with 64%, and finished tenth in free throw percentage with 75%. She also played a key role in Onondaga’s dynamic offense that ranked second in the nation and averaged more than 84 points per game.
