The Onondaga Community College men's tennis team is in familiar territory.
For the 12th straight season, the Lazers are in the national tournament, and have their sights set on a national championship.
OCC took home the title in 2008. The Lazers are a young team, with five freshman competing in the tournament.
But head coach John LaRose says his team has exceeded expectations all year, and that should not stop in the national tournament.
"It's been a great season. The guys have really risen to the occasion," LaRose says. "They've done really well, so we're pleased."
The Lazers will travel to Plano, Texas for the tournament, which starts Monday.
OCC freshman Josh Tayefeh says winning the whole thing would be an unbelievable experience.
"It's so exciting to be there with a bunch of other players at your level, competing for the championship," Tayefeh says. "If I won, I'd be ecstatic."
The team will be heading out Saturday to start their quest for a second national championship.
