Could Westhill baseball be back-to-back-to-back State Champions?

That's a resounding yes, and preparations for that goal are underway as the Warriors prepare for the Section III playoffs. The playoffs themselves get going on Tuesday, but Westhill earned the top seed and a bye and will meet the winner of Hannibal and Utica-Notre Dame on Thursday.

The Warriors are led by a strong senior core including players like Nathan Nigolian, who Coach Bob Weismore calls "the best athlete in Section III".and Kevin McAvoy who coach refers to as "one of the best pitchers in the state".

The production isn't limited to those players though and collectively the Warriors have rebounded from losing 17 players from those back to back title teams and yet again look to be a contender.
