There were a number of teams who had to "sleep on" their Section III Semifinal games, delayed because of Thursday night's weather. But for half of those teams it was well worth the wait.

The West Genesee Wildcats never even got their game started on Thursday night because of lightning, but created a storm of their own around the net when they finally took on Baldwinsville on Friday afternoon. Dylan Donahue exploded for 6 goals and 2 assist, while Corey Herrington notched 7 points, 6 of those assists, as the Wildcats beat the Bees 14-4. Cody Hoose added 2 goals and 2 assists for the Wildcats, while Joseph Delia had three solid assists for Baldwinsville in a losing cause. It's now right back to work tomorrow where the Wildcats will take on the Liverpool Warriors for the Class A Section III title.

The Liverpool boys had a a big lead on F-M late in the 3rd quarter as play resumed on Friday morning, but even Head Coach Mike Felice admits that stranger things have happened, and that the Warriors were on guard today. In the end they would go on to beat the Hornets 14-5, nailing down their spot in the section III title game this weekend. Matt Savlov lead the way for Liverpool with 4 goals and 1 assist.

The Liverpool girls weren't as lucky, starting their day with a two point deficit and already in overtime. While the Warriors did manage a goal from Mallorie O'Brien in overtime, the Bees ultimately won 12-10 to eatrn their right to play West Genesee in this weekend's title game.

Cazenovia had a 9-3 lead over Homer last night at CBA High School when play was called because of lightning. They'd add on 4 more goals on Friday afternoon, and roll to a 13-4 victory. Cazenovia will now take on Skaneateles in the Class C Title Game.
