After being announced as one of nine inductees into the Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame Friday, SU Associate Head Coach Bernie Fine addressed the departure of sophomore center DaShonte Riley.
It was announced earlier in the week that Riley would be transferring to Eastern Michigan, where former Orange assistant coach Rob Murphy is now the head coach.
Fine says Riley has a bright future ahead of him, and could be a potential pro down the road.
"DaShonte is very skilled, I mean Dashonte has the potential to play in the NBA. He's developed a real love for the game and go after it. He's very skilled, he does some things very well, and I think he could have a very good career with Coach Murphy in Eastern Michigan."
Riley played 17 games as freshman in the '09-'10 season, before missing all of last year with a foot injury.
