CBA softball pitcher Jordan Sheridan has completed her sophomore campaign to strike out hunger, and it's safe to say it was a resounding success.
Sheridan raised over $3,700 dollars which she donated with her family this afternoon to the Samaritan Center on Montgomery Street. She raised the money by taking pledges from many people in the community for every strikeout she recorded.
On Monday Sheridan delivered the money, and of course, more of her time to the center serving dinner to those in need.
Executive Director of the Samaritan Center Mary Beth Frey says that it only takes one dollar to give someone a meal, so in essence just by playing the game she loves, Jordan is feeding 3,700 people in Central New York tonight.
Jordan is also a former CNY Central Athlete, from the Spring of 2010 when she pitched a perfect game as a freshman.
